The Turkoman Hotel is a converted old Ottoman house in the heart of Sultanahmet.
Visitors to Istanbul who are looking for a centrally located hotel within the Old City, and which has lots of charm and character, will enjoy staying at the Turkoman Hotel.
The Blue Mosque is just across the Hippodrome from here and all the major attractions are within easy walking distance, so it is ideally situated. Many of the rooms have amazing views of the Blue Mosque, and from the rooftop terrace where breakfast is served there are views of the same, plus over the Hippodrome and the Sea of Marmara.
Having been restored and converted in 1989, this Istanbul hotel has retained the old Ottoman character. The rooms are comfortably furnished and feature a range of antique furnishings and Turkish carpets, yet there are also the comforts of 21st century living too.

Nearby Attractions: This Istanbul hotel could not be better placed to enjoy the historic attractions of the Old City. The Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts is essentially next door to the Turkoman Hotel, whilst across the street is the Hippodrome, sitting in the shadows of the eminent Blue Mosque which is just a one minute walk. Aya Sofya is across Sultanhamet Square and hence just another couple of minutes walk, and beyond this world famous museum is the equally famous Topkapi Palace. Other attractions within walking distance include the Grand Bazaar, and with a short walk to the tram stop, the new city is also easily accessible.
