Review Istanbul Hotels
Small Hotel Is Quiet And Clean
My girlfriend and I were looking for a small hotel to stay at in Turkey during our holiday and someone recommended the Yusufpasa Konagi near the Blue Mosque to us. This Istanbul hotel is really off the beaten track and is nestled in a quiet neighbourhood within walking distance of all the historical landmarks in the Old City. It’s unique looking too because it was built in the style of a 19th century Ottoman mansion complete with odd angles and wooden façade. It’s actually a really pretty and modern looking place.
What’s nice about this Istanbul hotel is that there are only 20 guest rooms complete with en-suite that are simply and tastefully decorated, making it perfect for a weekend or holiday retreat. There are 19 standard rooms and one junior suite which is the room we stayed in. The rooms are done in very soothing and relaxing colours and all of them come with hair dryers, satellite TV, telephone, internet access, black out curtains, and AC. And there is 24 hour room service for those night owls who get the munchies.
There is a restaurant on the top floor of the Konagi and the views are just breathtaking. We took quite a few panoramic pictures from here of the Sea of Marmara, the Bosphorus, the Princes Islands and the Asian side of Istanbul. They serve Turkish cuisine and really filling breakfasts here and on the weekends one of the local Turkish bands plays here, making it really enjoyable to just simply stay in at the hotel.
