Review Istanbul Hotels
Old Turkish Charm Rocks This Place
Travelling across Europe and seeing the sites is not complete until you visit Istanbul, and when you visit the Sirkeci area of the Old City you are going to want to stay at the World Park Hotel. This Istanbul hotel rocks because it’s one of the historic hotels in the city with 5 star accommodations complete with a true old world Turkish charm. It’s perfect for leisure visitors, like me, as well as corporate visitors – at least according to their brochure. I was there for pleasure, so seeing the corporate facilities wasn’t on my agenda.
Anyway, this Istanbul hotel has 172 rooms all decorated to match the historical architecture that’s already there. There is a rooftop bar, a lobby cafe, and a great restaurant. Plus, the World Hotel also offers its guests a health centre with pool, sauna, Turkish bath, massage services, and more. The massages at this Istanbul hotel are just the bomb and I recommend that everyone experience one before heading home. There is also a little shopping ‘parade’ in the hotel if you need stuff and you don’t want to go out. If you do want to go out, the Grand Bazaar and Egyptian Market are within walking distance. And really, it’s more fun to walk and check out the city than take the taxi.
The rooms are all decorated with typical Turkish colours and themes, making them chic and elegant. All of the suites have a Jacuzzi bath – that was sweet to soak in – plus slippers, robes, and toiletries for you to use. Satellite television, wireless internet, safe, mini bar, and hair dryer are all included in the rooms, so you don’t have to leave the room if you don’t want to. I definitely recommend this place.
