Review Istanbul Hotels
Absolutely Stunning Settings And Service
A friend of ours told us about the Swiss Hotel The Bosphorus Istanbul a few years ago and we decided to check it out on our way to Cyprus for our thirtieth anniversary. They praised the establishment and they were not wrong. While this Istanbul hotel is huge – 600 rooms! – all of them are chock full of amenities such as mini-bars, private bathrooms, complimentary newspapers, and computer services so that we could still hook up to the outside if we wanted to. We got the opportunity to stay in one of the Corner Rooms which comes equipped with a very comfortable chaise lounge looking out the windows.
The hotel sits within 65 acres of garden on the former grounds of the Dolmabahce Palace. It’s set up on a hill and overlooks both the palace and the Bosphorus. It is close enough for plenty of shopping as well as visiting historical places like the Old City. Swiss Hotel also has a spa, wellness centre, outdoor swimming pool, indoor heated swimming pool, tennis court, and playground for the kids. It was nice seeing the kids running around on the playground as many parents don’t bring them to such a fancy place.
There are a couple of different restaurants at the Swiss as well as a few bars with live jazz and Latin music nightly so you can dance the night away if you want to. The hotel also has some great business services for guests and the only reason we found out about them is because we were asked if we needed that type of service. The staff is very accommodating and the stay here was really nice and we recommend this Istanbul hotel highly.
