Review Istanbul Hotels
Historic Hotel One Of A Kind
I had the unique chance of being able to do a little bit of travelling after being left a sizeable inheritance from my aunt and one of the places I made it a point to visit was Istanbul, Turkey. My aunt loved to travel and she said the city of Istanbul was one she didn’t get a chance to see so I decided to see it for her. While in Istanbul, I decided to stay at the Sarnic Hotel. This neat Istanbul hotel is a 4-star rated establishment that was once an Ottoman Mansion that was built in 1915. The old 5th century Byzantine cistern is beneath this Istanbul hotel and if you are guest of the hotel you can tour it, which I recommend highly.
The Sarnic is small with only 16 rooms and each of them are all different sizes just like they were when the hotel was still an Ottoman mansion. When the staff asked me which room I wanted to stay in they told me that all of the rooms are furnished the same way with a mini bar, hair dryer in the bathroom, TV, free wireless internet and some other complimentary stuff. There is 24 hour room service here – great if you really just want to kick back and relax – and a rooftop restaurant and bar.
While the hotel is kind of small, its location is prime and within walking distance of all the major historical attractions like the Blue Mosque. The Grand Bazaar is about 15 minutes away and the concierge in the hotel will arrange for a taxi for you if you want it. My only complaint about the Sarnic is that there is no swimming pool, but with everything else I had to do and see while staying at this Istanbul hotel, I didn’t realize that I missed it until I was checking into the next hotel on trip and saw theirs.
