Review Istanbul Hotels
Perfect Locale Off Taksim Square
On a stop in Istanbul, Turkey on my way to North Cyprus I had the opportunity to stay at the Riva Hotel which is located just off Taksim Square. Taksim Square is the heart of Istanbul’s new city and it’s the home of all of the city’s best places to shop, eat, bars, clubs, theatres and other entertainment establishments. Staying here was more a bit of an accident since all of the other Istanbul hotels were booked up, but I’m glad I had the chance to. If you want to be part of the pulse of Istanbul, then the Riva is the perfect base of operations.
The Riva has 71 guest rooms that have recently been updated and modernized. All of the rooms are done in neutral colours and dark wood furniture and they all have a satellite TV, music player, hair dryer in the bathroom, mini bar, and 24 hour room service. There is also a restaurant that serves a huge buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the bar has a really nice atmosphere if you don’t want to check out the local nightlife. If you are looking for a place to set up a seminar that is also in the heart of the city, then this Istanbul hotel is perfect as they have all the modern equipment available and room for 120 people.
Everything in the city is within easy reach of the Riva as there are public transportation stops close by. While there is no swimming pool or Turkish bath or fitness centre, it’s still a really nice place to stay.
