Review Istanbul Hotels
Affordable And Lovely Establishment In Taksim
My family and I have never stayed in a lovelier hotel in our entire lives, and the Konak Hotel Istanbul in the business and entertainment area of Taksim is just simply one of the best. It’s located on a small side street in Taksim, which keep the noise of the traffic pretty low when you’re trying to sleep in this Istanbul hotel. Here on vacation, we chose the Konak based on a co-worker’s suggestion and we were not disappointed.
The Konak Hotel is one of the older buildings in Taksim and since it was just my wife, our ten year old son and I staying, we were given a really interesting room with a barn style peaked roof and window that was decorated in tongue and groove wood and contained a double and single bed. The room was roomy and bright with the unique window and it came equipped with a mini bar, cable TV, tea and coffee set, hair dryer, safe, internet connection and a really nice fruit basket. From what I understand – as we were asked by the staff – the 90 room Konak has a room for disabled guests.
We ate at the Kazan Restaurant at the Konak and the food was really good. Of course being in Taksim we also tried a few of the other local eateries and we enjoyed touring the city of Istanbul. The hotel didn’t have a swimming pool or fitness centre, but that wasn’t really an issue with us. Instead we enjoyed getting to see a place that we may never return to and it was well worth it.
