Review Istanbul Hotels
Innovative Layout Makes Lamartine Top Notch
As the manager of an up and coming rock band, I’m always trying to find ways to keep our margin low. I found the Hotel Lamartine in a really nice travel brochure and since we were playing at a nice club in Istanbul I decided to book our rooms here. I’m really glad I did as this Istanbul hotel had really nice rooms. There are 67 rooms here that are really laid out in an interesting manner – very streamlined and modern with bright accents on the beds and interesting carpeting. The rooms all had mini bars, hair dryers, cable television, wireless internet and 24 hour room service. Thank goodness for that because my crew of six can eat – any time of day.
This Istanbul hotel is really a nice, modern facility close to Taksim Square and in the middle of the city’s entertainment district. With the tram about five minutes away, you can get to the shopping district and the historical Old City in no time. The lead singer and I had a girl’s day out and enjoyed the shopping in Istanbul, much to the friendly teasing of the other band members. Plus, the staff allowed us to use one of their smaller meetings rooms as a practice area which was really nice of them. They’ve also got a nice business service setup, hotel doctor, currency exchange service, hairdresser, and laundry.
The food at this Istanbul hotel was also really good and affordable. They’ve got three restaurants – one of which is a Chinese restaurant – so you can really get a good variety here. It’s a really nice place with some seriously bright room fixtures, which makes it fun as well.
