Review Istanbul Hotels
Eclectic Décor Works For This Hotel
My family and I were looking for a small yet affordable Istanbul hotel to stay at while visiting relatives in the city that was between the old city and my relatives. We found the Cosmopolitan Park Hotel in the Cankutaran part of the Sultanahmet and we instantly fell in love with this very unique and slightly eclectic establishment. There are only 15 rooms here all with great views, and it is away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The entrance and lobby is brightly decorated in no particular style, and while some may think it’s too busy it truly works for this establishment.
This Istanbul hotel has a reading and internet room, a buffet breakfast every morning in the dining room, a rooftop terrace with exceptional views of the Bosphorus, the Marmara Sea and the Blue Mosque, and a small bar for after dinner cocktails. They do offer airport transfers, which many of the smaller Istanbul hotels like this do not. And with it being so close to the historical part of the city and the Grand Bazaar, it makes the perfect place to start out from every day.
Our room faced the Marmara Sea and featured an en-suite bathroom with shower, telephone, hair dryer, wireless internet, television, AC and heating, fridge, and coffee maker with coffee. It was very comfortable and quite peaceful after a long day of walking around the city and visiting. If you don’t mind a smaller establishment where you will pretty much just be sleeping in, the Cosmopolitan Park Hotel is a good choice.
