Review Istanbul Hotels
Great Service Near The Grand Bazaar
I’ve heard about and seen in movies examples of Grand Bazaars and places like that, but actually visiting one is a whole new experience. Coming from a small caribou farm in Canada, my family and I never really get to go places. Having the chance to come to Turkey and Istanbul is a lifetime dream and we made sure the Grand Bazaar and the Egyptian Bazaar – I think they also call it the Spice Bazaar – were main stops on our itinerary. We chose the Carlton Hotel because it was only a ten minute walk from the historical attractions we wanted to see, and the Grand Bazaar and this Istanbul hotel was also only about a minute from the tram station.
Our room was really nicely decorated and it had air conditioning, satellite television, wireless internet which tickled the kids, telephone, attached bathrooms and hair dryers. We had to get two rooms because we have three kids, but the price in this really nice Istanbul hotel made it really affordable for the family. The food at the restaurant was really good too with a breakfast buffet and Turkish and European dishes for lunch and dinner. We tried a couple of Turkish dishes. Pretty rich food but really good too.
We really liked the closeness of the hotel to the attractions and that really was a selling point for us. We wanted to really have some extra money for souvenirs and food and the Carlton Hotel chain always seems to have really good service and that really carried over to the hotel here in Istanbul.
