Review Istanbul Hotels
Central Location Great
I’ve always found Best Western hotels to be extremely affordable, clean, and just downright nice. The Best Western Acropol Hotel in Istanbul, Turkey’s Old City is no exception. As a matter of fact, I think it is one of the best I have ever stayed in. I missed my connecting flight home so I needed to find a fairly inexpensive place to stay overnight, and this Istanbul hotel really fit the bill. It’s a small hotel – only 30 rooms – and it exudes delightful Turkish charm throughout. Plus, the room had a great view of the Bosphorus even if it was a little small.
Anyone wanting to visit the Old City and not kill their wallet on hotel costs will really appreciate this Istanbul hotel. The Acropol is perfect for all types of travellers and there is a tram stop close by, giving you access to the rest of the city fairly easily. And for all the bigger the hotel is, the array of amenities and facilities is outstanding. They have 24 hour business services for their guests, wireless high speed internet in the rooms, a rooftop restaurant plus a café with all types of cuisine, a banquet hall, meeting rooms, and a concierge desk that can help you with your travel plans, arrange tours of the city and take you to the airport.
Seven of the rooms are suites and the rest are single, double, or triples which is nice for families. All of them come with cable TV – although the televisions are a bit small – hair dryer, safe box, stocked mini bar and fridge, phones, and 24 hour room service. From what I understand, the suites also have a Jacuzzi, DVD player, and complimentary breakfast served in the rooms. It’s a very traditionally decorated hotel and if you are looking for something affordable that is a quality place to stay, this would be it.
